Tracking Your Messages
There are two ways to track your messages:
- View the graph on the first page of the “Dashboard” tab.
- View the “Message Activity” page.
The graph you see when you click the “Dashboard” tab shows message activity for the preceding 30 days. Place your cursor at the peak of the lines to see the number of sent messages and the number of subscribers and unsubscribes.
The links below the graph take you to other areas of the SimpleTexting application:
- The “View Details” link below “Message Overview” goes to the “Message Activity” page, which is described in Subsection 8.1, “Message Activity.”
- The “View Details” link below “Subscribers Overview” goes to the “Subscribers” tab, which is discussed in Section 5, “Creating and Managing Groups.”
Message Activity
The “Message Activity” pages are located under the “Messaging” tab. You can see all your messages on the first page, or select one of the options on the left, which allow you to cancel messages that are scheduled to be sent or are in the process of being sent, and view messages that have been sent
Canceling a Scheduled Message
Step 1. Click the “Scheduled” button.
Step 2. You can do the following on this page:
- Use the dropdown “Filter” box to see some or all of your scheduled messages by group.
- Click the “Scheduled” column header to change the order in which the messages are displayed.
- Click the "eye" to view the text message and its information.
- Click "Edit" or "pause" messages that have not been sent.
- Click (Delete) to remove a scheduled message.
Step 3. Click on the "Delete" icon and press OK on the confirmation dialog.
Viewing Messages in Progress
Messages under the “In Progress” button are in the process of being sent. You can edit, view, pause, and delete these messages. Once a message has finished being sent, it will be removed from this view.
You can do the following on this page:
- Use the dropdown “Filter” box to see some or all of your messages by group.
- Click the “Scheduled” column header to change the order in which the messages are displayed.
- Pause a message.
- Edit a message you have paused.
- View a text message and its information.
- Delete a text message.
Note: Messages you delete on the “In Progress” page might already have been received by some or all of the members of the group.
Viewing Messages You’ve Sent
Messages you have sent are under the “Sent” button. You can:
- Use the dropdown “Filter” box to see some or all of your scheduled messages by group.
- Click the “Scheduled” column header to change the order in which the messages are displayed.
- View a sent message and its information.
- Delete a sent message.
Receiving Messages from Contacts
Contacts who reply to a message you sent will appear in the “Inbox,” which is a link under the “Messaging” tab.
On this page you can:
- Reply to a sender by clicking the link in the “Reply” column for that sender. If the contact has opted out from all your keywords, you cannot reply to the sender.
- Mark the sender‘s email as “spam” by clicking the link in the “Spam” column.
Replying to Messages Sent to You
Step 1. Click the “Messaging” tab, then the “Inbox” link.
Step 2. Find the message in the table and click the “Reply” link.
Note: If a contact has opted out of all your keywords, you cannot send that person a reply.
