Bulk Actions For Your Contact Lists

Need to manage a lot of contacts at once? This article will help you navigate the bulk actions on your Contacts page.

If you want to take one action for a large number of your contacts, our new bulk actions will help you do it quickly and easily. Let’s check out some of the options:

Export Contacts

  1. After navigating to Contacts on the left side of your SimpleTexting account, then Lists, select the lists you’d like to export by checking the box to the left of each list.

  2. Select the Export contacts button above your lists.

  3. The contacts in the lists you selected will be exported into a single CSV.

Merge Lists

  1. Navigate to Contacts, then Lists.

  2. Check the boxes of the lists you want to merge.

  3. Click on Merge lists near the top of the page.

  4. Type the name of your new merged list into the List name box in the pop-up.

  5. Choose whether to delete the original contact lists you selected to merge. If you don’t want to keep the original lists, check the box next to Delete original lists. If you would like to keep those source lists, leave the box unchecked.

  6. Click the blue Merge lists button at the bottom of the pop-up. You can find your new merged contact list in the same column as the rest of your contact lists.

Delete Lists

  1. Select the lists you want to delete by checking the boxes at the far left of each one. Click Delete above the list box.

  2. Within the pop-up, review the lists you’ve selected. You can see details about each list in the dropdown by clicking on the black “down” arrow.

  3. Check the Confirm delete box and then click the red Delete button.

Sort Lists

Lists can be sorted by name and by the date they were created.

Select Name at the top of your lists to sort them in alphabetical order (the arrow next to Name is pointing up) or reverse alphabetical order (the arrow points down).

Created

Clicking Created at the top of your lists will sort your lists from newest to oldest (the arrow next to Created will point down) or oldest to newest (the arrow will point up).

You can select all your lists at once by checking the box at the far left of the bar at the top of your lists.
