A classic marketing tactic with a modern twist, SMS sweepstakes are easy to enter and easy to set up. Plus, they’re a great way to add contacts. Who doesn’t love winning?

Text-to-Win is a fun and easy way to build your lists and get your audience excited

Here's how to set up a Text-to-Win campaign with SimpleTexting:

Once you’ve logged in to SimpleTexting, go to Apps, Text to Win Contests, and click on Add contest. The name of the campaign is just for your own reference, your contacts won’t see this.

Next, select the keyword that people will text in to join your contest. If you need to create a new keyword for your contest, you can do this by clicking on Keywords on the left, and then come back here when it’s all created.

Now, enter the message that people will receive when they text in your keyword.

Next, select how many winners you want. If your contest requires an age limit, you can set this here. The recipient will have to respond with their birthdate to confirm that they’re old enough to participate.

You can select between 18 and 21 for age verification and customize the messaging.

Click Save and confirm the details. Your contest is now live!

Once you’ve got enough entrants in the contest, click Select winners to choose the winners.

SimpleTexting will randomly select a winner or winners, and you can click Notify winners to send them a text letting them know they’ve won (you can even send pictures or video with your message if you select MMS).

You can also view the status of your contest (Active, Paused, Winners selected, or Finished) from the text to Win Contests page. Need to pause, edit, duplicate, or delete your contest? Just click the three dots at the end of the row.

You’ve got your first Text to Win campaign up and running.

Thanks for watching, and happy texting!

Note: You can run Text to Win contests through both your primary and secondary numbers.
