If the phrase “group text” makes you think of long, complicated text threads with a million confusing replies from all parties, don’t worry–SimpleTexting makes group texts easier and, well, simpler.

With SimpleTexting, you can send a text to a group of hundreds or thousands with no “Reply all” button in sight.

Let’s talk about how it works.

How to Set Up a Group Text (Computer)

  1. From your SimpleTexting account page, just head to Campaigns on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select New.

  3. Name your campaign, fill in your message, select the contact list you want to send your message to, and decide whether to send it now or schedule it for later.

That’s it! Your group text is ready to send.

Setting Up a Group Text from Phone

You can send group texts from your phone, too.

  1. Once you’re logged into your SimpleTexting app, choose the three lines at the top left of your screen and select Apps from the menu.

  2. Click on Group Text from Phone.

  3. Select Add cellphone, fill in your number, and hit Add number.

  4. Reply “Y” or “Yes” to the activation text you receive.

  5. Once your number is active, simply send the name of the contact list you want to message to the number that sent your verification text, followed by the message you’d like to send.

After you set up your phone number through the app, you can send group texts to your contact lists using step 5, without having to log into your account.
