Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra security layer to your SimpleTexting account. When enabled, you'll receive a temporary code via text message or email for login verification, ensuring it's really you.

Enabling 2FA

1. To access your 2FA settings, navigate to your profile at the top right.

2. Next to two-factor authentication, click Edit.

3. Select your chosen verification method SMS or Email.

We strongly recommend SMS for 2FA because it leverages the security of your phone's separate communication channel and SIM card, making it harder for unauthorized users to access your account.

โ€‹4. Enter the number or email address you'd like to use for 2FA and click save.

5. Enter the code you receive via SMS or email and click Confirm code. 2FA is now enabled. On future logins, you will be sent a code via your chosen method.
