Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra security layer to your SimpleTexting account. When enabled, you'll receive a temporary code via text message for login verification, ensuring it's really you.

Enabling 2FA

1. To access your 2FA settings, navigate to your profile at the top right.

2. Next to two-factor authentication, click Edit. Then enter the number you’d like to use for 2FA and click save.

3. Enter the code generated by the app and click Confirm code. 2FA is now enabled. On future logins, you will be sent a code via SMS.

Disabling 2FA

To disable two-factor authentication, click Edit. Flip the Toggle and click Save.

Giving teammates access to 2FA

If you have sub-accounts, you can give them the option to enable 2FA by click edit and flipping the toggle. To finish the setup process, they will need to login and follow the directions above from their account.
