Carrier fees are surcharges that wireless carriers apply to outbound traffic on their networks and are out of our control. We process these fees for you and pass them through with no markup. This is an industry-wide change that impacts all text messaging providers.

How we charge these carrier fees

How we bill you for these carrier fees depends on your payment method and whether you’re on a monthly or annual plan.

In most cases, carrier fees will be charged on your monthly or annual cycle date or when accumulated fees are greater than $500, whichever is earlier.

Is it possible to predict the cost of these carrier fees ahead of time?

Since your unique contact list determines which messages will be sent through which carriers, it’s difficult to predict additional cost. That said, for most customers, the impact will be minimal.

If you want to estimate the additional cost, here’s a rough breakdown of the average percentage of messages our customers send to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and other carriers.
