With browser notifications, you can navigate away from SimpleTexting without worrying about missing a message. Here's how to set them up.

📌 Browser notifications on the desktop are only available at this time for accounts using a toll-free or local phone number. If you are currently using a shared shortcode, you can enable email notifications. You can learn how to do that here.

Enabling Notifications

  1. First, click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of your account. Then select Profile.

2. Select the Notifications tab, and then click Desktop. From here, you can choose to receive browser notifications for new incoming 1-on-1 messages and automated messages (new keyword opt-ins and incoming compliance messages).

You may also choose which numbers you want to receive notifications for by clicking Primary number on the right side.

3. At the top of your browser toolbar, you'll receive this confirmation message. Click Allow.

4. Done! Now whenever a contact sends you a message, you'll be notified right away.

If you decide you don't want to receive browser notifications anymore, simply toggle the notification settings off.
